QA Manager

Location: Ruskington ¦ Department: Technical ¦ Full-time

Are you passionate about food safety, quality, and driving continuous improvement? We are looking for a QA Manager to lead our Quality Assurance team and play a pivotal role in ensuring our site delivers safe, compliant, and high-quality products.

What you\’ll do:

  • Lead and inspire the site QA team to deliver on food safety and quality goals.
  • Take the lead during customer visits and third-party audits.
  • Oversee calibration, equipment verification, pest control, and non-conformance processes.
  • Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Champion quality systems across labelling, packaging, inspections, and sampling.
  • Lead complaint reduction initiatives and support proactive technical improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, supporting both day-to-day production and long-term projects.
  • Deputise for the Technical Manager when required.

What we\’re looking for:

  • Degree/HND in Food Science (or equivalent).
  • Level 3 Food Safety, Level 3 HACCP, and Lead Auditor (ISO 9000/22000) qualifications.
  • Strong technical knowledge in food safety, QMS, and auditing.
  • Practical, detail-focused, and factory-floor orientated with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in driving technical compliance and continuous improvement in a food manufacturing environment.
