Job Description
We are currently recruiting Process Area Controllers to join our team in Pilgrim's Europe – Moy Park at Dungannon site to provide first line IS support within the factory environment. This will include PCs and related peripherals and operational equipment with an IT component such as – automatic cutting, scanning, labelling, weighing, bar-coding, process control related equipment, factory databases.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensures Quality, Hygiene and production standards are maintained in the production environment.
- Responsible for Label Design/Label Production rollout, in support of the Technical Department and Quality Control/Assurance.
- Responsible for production systems and calibration of Labellers (Box End and Price Weigh), Coders, Printers (various Production/Label Printing Devices), Check Weighs, Graders and Scales.
- Recommend any improvements to work methods which could improve the productivity, performance, safety of the operation.
- Communicate faults and escalate effectively to enable Production Managers to make timely and accurate decisions.
- To communicate regularly and effectively with your team and Management in order that they are fully briefed on all aspects of line / area operations, in particular the achievement of line/ area targets, employee attitudes and product quality
- Liaise with the incoming / outgoing shift changeover to establish any problems with machinery or equipment etc.
- Ensure operatives are trained to effectively use equipment.
- Apply and abide by all aspects of legislation and Company Policy on Health, Safety and Environmental including RSI, back injuries and Lifting and Handling, constantly seeking to eliminate hazards which would be injurious to personnel.
- To undertake any other reasonable and relevant duties as required by Management.
- Ensure that hourly KPI boards are filled in on time and hold daily cell meetings to discuss performance with the team.
- To work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within your area and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc.
- To be responsible for ensuring food safety, integrity, legality and quality at all times.
- You may be asked to work in any area of the business as and when demand requires it.
- Flexibility to work outside core hours to meet orders and demand of the business
- Manage Buddies to ensure training is effective for employees and agency workers.
