To move product and packaging from storage to production as required for the completion of orders. You will be required to work as a member of a team of operatives (varying in size) reporting through a Team Leader, to the Section Leader. Effective liaison, team working and interaction with other operatives and supervisory staff is fundamental. The job is performed mainly in a temperature-controlled area and involves extensive periods of standing and repetitive movements. Shift pattern: B Shift – Light Meat 2 – 223 shift pattern 06:00-18:00, Week 1 Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, Week 2 Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday. Pay rate: £12.18 per hour. Free bus from Sleaford, Lincoln , Boston and Grantham DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: · To ensure that Hygiene and Health and Safety procedures are always followed . · (Where applicable) Adhere to the allergen procedure and ensure that allergens and other ingredients are segregated correctly and not allowed to cross contaminate. · To ensure that product is taken to the line ready to fulfil orders following the production schedule. · To continuously monitor the quality of the product and to liaise with QA when appropriate. · To calculate throughputs and ensure correct product and packaging is obtained for the product being run. · To ensure wastage of product or materials is kept to a minimum and recorded. · To ensure manual pallet wheels are clean and well maintained, reporting incidents where this is not the case. · At shift changeover ensure all relevant information and documentation concerning the line is passed on to the incoming shift. · At the end of production, to ensure all flesh, ingredients and packaging is removed from the line and placed in correct storage. · To ensure that packaging, ingredient and flesh traceability is always maintained through adequate, legible and correct labelling. · To ensure that Ingredients, packaging and flesh is covered when not in use to minimise the risk of contamination. · (Where applicable) To weigh product or flesh correctly following company procedures. · To maintain all paperwork and ensure all relevant information/documentation concerning the machinery is passed to the oncoming shift. · In the event of a fire alarm, to shut down all designated process machinery before leaving the building. * To perform any other duty required in other areas as directed by your Department Manager.
