We are looking to recruit an NPI Manager to the team, based at our manufacturing site in
Carrickmacross.
This exciting role in a fast paced food environment balances evenly across customer and site responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for a team of 4 direct reports and will be instrumental in the introduction of new products into our site as well as sitting within the site SLT.
This role will work closely with the Product Development Team and NPI Technologists in nurturing a food culture in the business, in line with our journey to become a world class food company.
The successful candidate will be accountable for the execution of customer and category development, from factory trials through pre-launch and launch phases, ensuring delivery of technical, operational, and commercial objectives, through cross functional collaboration with category, customer, and site stakeholders.
We are looking for someone with an in depth knowledge of process development, manufacturing experience, customer and people management with a deep routed love for food. As we are a food led business, the role would highly suit someone with a strong culinary background with chef experience to underpin the process and manufacturing experience.
Skills & Knowledge
- Computer literate.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to coordinate projects and lead multiple teams.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of current legislation, relevant to food manufacturing and product labelling.
- Hands on – pragmatic, individual who takes on responsibility and accountability to get the job done.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, including the ability to identify and implement change on site through challenging, leading and influencing managers and cross-functional teams on specific projects.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant industry processes.
- Ability to identify cost-saving measures and improvement strategies
Qualifications [Accredited]
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
- Proven track record in a high-volume food manufacturing site.
- Culinary knowledge and a wide appreciation of food processes would be beneficial
- 4+ years\’ experience as a process manager
- Awareness of current topical Food Safety issues, and the potential impact on Pilgrims Europe customers and business.
