We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Front Desk Clerk to join the team, who will become an expert in poultry at Pilgrims Europe!
The Front Desk Clerk will:
- Track adherence to daily Live Load.
- Deliver a full pre-brief and debrief for all drivers.
- Distribute any paperwork to relevant departments.
- Track, escalate and report own and third-party haulier adherence to agreed transport plans.
- Pre-brief all shift drivers to ensure accurate information is communicated.
- Ensure drivers are fit for work and required breaks have been taken.
- Communicate any briefings/updates and ensure drivers are added to required systems.
Agreed shift patterns will support the operational demands of the business, meeting a 24/7 front desk coverage.
As part of the front desk team, your responsibilities are to:
- Manage day-to-day issues such as vehicle breakdowns, defects, driver holidays, and absence reporting.
- Adopt and ensure compliance with all aspects of H&S legislation with the target of zero harm.
- Uphold Group and Company image, policies, and values.
- Using a mix of automated and manual tools, track the adherence of vehicles to plan for GB and NI movements.
- Undertake driver pre-brief and debrief activities, providing performance feedback to drivers.
- Identify and escalate daily issues, infringements, and areas of driver non-conformance.
- Complete driver paperwork management ensuring relevant departments receive PODs.
- Identify lane/load risks and highlight these to appropriate stakeholders.
- Populate and maintain scheduling and live booking and management information systems.
- Share accurate information on plans and plan changes with drivers and service providers.
- Support work in tracking and execution of bad weather contingency planning (UK).
- Report on GB internal and external DOT for own and Third Party Carriers.
- Drive customer satisfaction through proactive engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support administration and KPI reporting duties relevant to the Logistics function.
- Support any reasonable request, subject to the needs of the business.
