What You'll Be Doing As Maintenance Manager, you will lead and develop the engineering team, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of all site equipment and facilities. Key responsibilities include: Leading, coaching and developing a multi-skilled engineering team. Driving site performance through improved uptime, efficiency and asset reliability. Managing engineering budgets, labour costs and departmental KPIs. Ensuring effective preventative maintenance programmes are delivered through SAP. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve performance. Managing engineering projects, contractor control and statutory compliance activities. Maintaining audit-ready standards across safety, hygiene, quality and engineering compliance. Developing succession plans and ensuring team capability through training and mentoring. Collaborating closely with Production, Planning and Technical teams to achieve site objectives. Ensuring maintenance records, SOPs and risk assessments remain current and compliant. Essential HNC qualification (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical or a related Engineering discipline. Minimum 2 years' experience in a management or supervisory engineering role. Strong knowledge of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) systems. Understanding of engineering compliance, permits to work, safe systems of work and HSE requirements. Experience managing maintenance budgets and engineering resources. Strong people management, coaching and mentoring skills. Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and operational performance. Desirable Experience working within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment. Knowledge of SAP maintenance management systems. Experience implementing asset care and reliability improvement programmes. Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience. TPBN1_UKTJ
