Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off / rotating shifts days and nights

We're looking for an experienced Engineering Team Leader to lead and support a team of engineers in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role where you'll drive performance, minimise downtime, and ensure high standards across safety, quality, and engineering delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of engineers on shift
  • Provide technical support to resolve and prevent breakdowns
  • Ensure all PPMs, work orders and breakdowns are completed and closed out
  • Work closely with production during start-up and daily operations
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety, hygiene and food safety
  • Ensure accurate system updates (Holistech) for all work completed
  • Deliver shift reports and effective handovers
  • Drive continuous improvement and reduce downtime and costs
  • Maintain audit-ready engineering areas and strong housekeeping standards

Essential Criteria

  • Recognised qualification in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong multi-skilled engineering knowledge (electrical & mechanical)
  • Experience leading or supporting a team in a manufacturing environment
  • Good IT skills (Holistech or similar systems)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering results
  • Ability to work shifts and adapt to business needs

Desirable

  • Experience within an FMCG or chilled food environment
  • Previous experience in a shift leadership role
