We are looking for a Loader Scanner to join our team in the Despatch department in Pilgrim's Europe - at Dungannon site. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately scanning product barcodes to produce pallet end labels and ensuring that all customer orders are fulfilled. Attention to detail and a commitment to health and safety are essential.
Key Information:

- Work Pattern: Working hours are Team D 18:00 - 06:00
- Week 1: mon, tues, fri, sat, sun
- Week 2: wed, thurs

Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately scan and record all frozen and chilled food products.
- Manage the despatch of frozen and chilled food items.
- Maintain accurate records, documents, and other relevant paperwork.
- Record despatched product temperatures.
- Follow operating procedures, especially those related to Health & Safety.
- Always observe traffic light systems and site safety rules.
- Liaise with Despatch Managers over trailer numbers, ensuring correct loading/unloading.
- Assist with blast-chilling of products.
- General housekeeping of the work area.
- Carry out any additional duties as required.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
- Take care of your own health and safety and that of others.
- Use protective clothing and equipment provided.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or hazards immediately.
- Observe company hygiene requirements.
- Set an example of safe, correct behaviour, particularly for new starters.
- Follow all company policies, rules, and safe working practices.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
- Essential: Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Numerate and attentive to detail.
- Able to complete and understand paperwork.
- Positive attitude and ability to work with others.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Minimum 6 months' food factory experience.
- Desirable: Previous scanning experience.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of temperature control in chilled/frozen products.
- Experience within a food factory/despatch environment.
- Counterbalance or Electric Pallet Truck licence.
- Computer literacy (knowledge of Protean is desirable).
