We have an exciting opportunity for a QA to join our team at the Llanidloes site.

Shift: Monday – Friday

Job Purpose

Through visual inspection and monitoring to ensure that all dressed carcasses are presented to the required standard to meet agreed customer specifications in accordance with current industry standards and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that routine tasks associated with the inspection of carcasses and monitoring activities (e.g., product temperature, dentition, label checks) are performed at the defined frequency in accordance with the appropriate standard operating procedure.
  • Maintain and uphold internal and external QA standards.
  • Verify production paperwork and ensure document control on the factory floor.
  • Conduct quality checks, label verification, and temperature monitoring.
  • Undertake the scanning of lamb carcass tickets onto the HCS system as a result of extensive trimming being carried out whilst held on the detain line.
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out within the allocated work area, protecting product safety, legality, authenticity and quality in accordance with the Food Safety Quality Management Systems (FSQM) & Health & Safety procedures.
  • Act as an ambassador for and promote a food safety & quality culture by visible presence on site, demonstrating behaviours and reinforcing commitment to the highest standards at all times.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external bodies such as the Food Standards Agency (FSA) and Official Veterinary (OV) to ensure site compliance.
