At Pilgrim's Europe, we're looking for an Operations Management Accountant to play a key role in supporting site performance, driving efficiency, and partnering with operations to deliver results. This is more than a reporting role - it's about being on the factory floor, understanding the numbers behind the process, and influencing change.
Location: Bromborough Food Manufacturing - Finance
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time, Office-Based (no hybrid options)
What you'll be doing:
- Act as the finance lead for operational performance, working closely with production teams to drive efficiencies and improve output.
- Develop and enhance operational finance tools, including variance analysis and performance tracking.
- Attend and contribute to daily Tier 1 and yield meetings, bringing financial insight to operational decisions.
- Partner with Operational Excellence teams to identify improvement opportunities and track delivery of projects.
- Lead the costing process for new and existing products, supporting pricing decisions with senior site leadership.
- Deliver weekly forecasts and performance analysis, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Investigate variances, identify root causes, and provide clear, actionable insights.
- Support budgeting and reforecasting processes.
- Take ownership of the CAPEX process, including asset tracking and payback analysis.
- Support the preparation of weekly and monthly accounts.
What we're looking for:
- We're keen to hear from candidates who thrive in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment, and enjoy working closely with operations.
- Studying towards CIMA or ACCA (minimum Management level or equivalent).
- Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG finance role.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP desirable).
- Ability to work at pace, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Confident communicator, able to influence stakeholders across the site.
