The predicted salary is between 35000 - 45000 £ per year.

There are 2 x positions available. This role is Monday - Friday, 39 hours per week. To carry out the day-to-day activities associated with the running of Moy Park Navenby Mill, to ensure that it runs safely and efficiently meeting all required standards and targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mill equipment and machinery.
  • Diagnose faults, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and carry out necessary repairs.
  • Assist in planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to prevent breakdowns and improve reliability.
  • Work with engineers and supervisors to install new equipment and upgrade existing systems.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely, adhering to company policies and health & safety regulations.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, faults, and repairs.
  • Monitor stock levels of spare parts and consumables, reporting any shortages.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow company procedures for reporting hazards, near misses, and incidents.
  • Ensure all pallets are correctly labelled before being put into stock.
  • Keep accurate records of stock movements as required.
  • Rotate stock to ensure oldest stock is used up first.
  • Maintain regular communication with colleagues as required.
  • Report any health and safety issues to your immediate manager.
  • Any other duties that are required.
  • Provide cover for Operatives on shifts during absences.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a maintenance role, ideally within a mill or industrial setting.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and occasional overtime.
  • Good numeracy and literacy levels.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • A relevant qualification in engineering, maintenance, or a related field is desirable.
  • Experience with welding, fabrication, or forklift operation would be an advantage.
