Are you an experienced food industry professional with a passion for quality, compliance and continuous improvement? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Food Safety Quality Manager to join our Technical team at our Anwick site. This is a key leadership role within the site management team, where you will work closely with Operations, Engineering and Technical colleagues to drive food safety standards, customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
As Senior Food Safety Quality Manager, you will:
- Lead and develop the Food Safety Quality team, ensuring technical requirements are consistently met.
- Support and deputise for the Technical Manager when required.
- Drive compliance with customer, retailer, legal and third-party standards.
- Ensure successful customer and third-party audits, maintaining excellent site audit performance.
- Maintain and develop HACCP systems, food safety standards and site technical integrity.
- Oversee product quality, traceability and internal auditing programmes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site and wider business.
- Collaborate with operational teams to deliver quality improvements and technical KPIs.
- Champion a strong food safety culture while coaching and developing team members.
Essential
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Proven quality management experience within the food manufacturing industry.
- Experience working with major retail customers.
- Strong understanding of BRC Standards, HACCP, Food Legislation and Food Hygiene.
- Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Self-motivated, proactive and results-focused approach.
Desirable
- Training, coaching or project management experience.
- Experience within chilled food, high-care or high-risk manufacturing environments.
- Advanced HACCP qualification.
- Poultry processing or cooking knowledge.
