We are looking for a highly organised and analytical Planner to join our Planning team at our Anwick site. In this role, you will play a key part in coordinating production workflows across multiple product areas, ensuring efficient use of resources and delivery of excellent customer service.

Reports to: Senior Planner
Shift Work: Continental Shift Work - 2 days on - 2 days off - 3 days on - from 05:00 am
You will work closely with operations, procurement, logistics, and the wider planning team to ensure production plans are achievable, communicated effectively, and aligned with business KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and issue daily production plans and schedules to meet delivery deadlines across: RTC and Primary Whole Birds (including GUI control to ensure correct supply of birds to line)
- Plan and prioritise operations to maximise efficiency and KPI performance.
- Ensure daily plans are updated and issued promptly following EDI transmission of customer orders.
- Communicate effectively with operations to ensure last‑minute plan changes are understood and executed.
- Liaise with procurement to ensure 0‑48 hour plans are achievable before release.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams including Operations, Planning, Procurement, Commercial, Despatch, Logistics, and Technical.
- Communicate potential shortages or service risks to Customer Service Managers to ensure accurate customer updates.
- Maintain planning horizons in line with agreements with the Senior Planner.
- Provide planning input for new products, advising on effective production patterns and scheduling.
- Support team continuity by covering for colleagues during periods of absence or holiday.
- Undertake projects or investigations relevant to your area of expertise as required.
Essential / What We’re Looking For:
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Excellent numerical, logical, and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Desirable:
- Experience in an FMCG and/or manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Scheduling and forecasting experience
- Leadership experience
