Factory based role ensuring factory is always audit ready. Driving best practice in the production environment with food safety, quality & legality. First point of contact for all production-based issues. Verification of systems generating daily compliance KPI’s. Key part of Technical functions including but not limited to internal auditing, micro sampling and daily calibration.
Responsibilities
- Driving production to be audit ready
- To operate in accordance to all company policies & procedures
- Product inspections & temperature checks
- Generation of departmental compliance KPI’s
- Ownership of the quality departments paperwork & records
- Conduct internal sample swabbing & shelf life sampling (as required)
- Be aware of your own responsibilities for H&S & play an active role in ensuring that all staff work within the company’s H&S policy
- Support the implementation of any agreed departmental objectives & projects
- Conduct internal scheduled audits
- Complete verifications & validations of the QMS procedures
- To ensure a good working relationship with OV’s, meat inspectors and operational staff
- To liaise & engage with other group sites & its projects as & if required
Skills & Knowledge
- Meat / Product knowledge
- Computer literate (to include using Microsoft Office e.g. Word, Excel)
- QA experience
