We are looking for an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join our site team, driving capital investment and continuous improvement across the factory. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of key projects, make a real impact, and help deliver operational excellence.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead the delivery of site capital plans to support performance and profitability targets.
- Specify, cost and manage engineering projects from concept through to handover.
- Deliver projects on time, within budget and with zero harm.
- Manage suppliers and contractors across all project phases including tender, build, installation and commissioning.
- Ensure all projects are delivered in line with governance and company procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement across people, processes and systems.
- Produce and maintain site layouts and support capital approvals through internal systems (AFETS/SAP).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Technical, HSE, Hygiene and NPD.
- Identify new technologies and innovations to improve production efficiency.
- Develop strong business cases and payback justifications for investment.
- Support wider engineering activities and non-capital projects where required.
What we're looking for:
- Essential Level 5 qualification in an Engineering discipline.
- Proven experience managing capital projects in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of continuous food production processes and factory services.
- Experience managing contractors, budgets and project delivery.
- AutoCAD experience.
- CDM knowledge and strong understanding of Health & Safety.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial awareness with budget management experience.
- High level of IT literacy.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- FMCG or food manufacturing experience.
- People management experience.
- SMSTS qualification.
