We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Breeder Laying Farm Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our breeder laying site. This is a key role ensuring high standards of bird welfare, biosecurity, production performance, and team leadership.
As Farm Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all farm activities, maintaining compliance with company procedures and industry regulations, and driving continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily farm operations to achieve optimal flock performance and egg production.
- Lead, train, and motivate farm staff to maintain high operational and welfare standards.
- Ensure strict adherence to biosecurity, health & safety, and Red Tractor/industry assurance schemes.
- Monitor bird health, behaviour, and environment, taking proactive action where required.
- Maintain accurate records, including flock performance, mortality, vaccinations, feed usage, and audits.
- Work closely with the Area Manager, veterinary teams, and support departments.
- Oversee maintenance of equipment, ventilation systems, and farm infrastructure.
- Manage stock levels, including feed, bedding, and farm supplies.
- Support chick placement, egg collection processes, and flock depletion activities.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
