We're looking for an experienced Engineering Team Leader to join our site engineering team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you'll play a key role in leading a team of mechanical, electrical and multi-skilled engineers, ensuring plant reliability, driving continuous improvement and maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and performance.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and support a team of engineers and technicians across the site.
- Prioritise and allocate maintenance activities to maximise factory efficiency.
- Drive planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities and accurately record labour and parts usage through SAP.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
- Support continuous improvement projects and equipment modifications.
- Work closely with production teams to provide technical expertise and operational support.
- Ensure engineering documentation is completed accurately and maintained.
- Champion Health & Safety, environmental compliance and 5S workplace standards.
- Assist with training and developing engineering and operational teams.
Essential
- Time or skill-served Engineering qualification.
- Minimum 4 years' industrial engineering experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
- Good IT skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
Desirable
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Experience within the food manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of poultry processing machinery.
- Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar maintenance management systems.
