We are currently looking for a talented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Llanidloes to assist the Canteen Manager with all tasks within the canteen to ensure a high-quality service to all staff across the site.

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday 06:00am - 14:30pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Deputise for the Manager in their absence, accepting responsibility and being accountable for day‑to‑day activities.
  • Ordering of stock, including raising/receipting PO’s on SAP (covering Manager holidays/absence).
  • Continuously review menus.
  • Preparing and cooking of food.
  • Assist onsite events such as summer BBQ and staff Christmas dinner.
  • Participate in on site engagement activities such as Free Breakfast Fridays and charity fundraising.
  • Assist stock taking and product rotation.
  • Serving of food and beverages.
  • Collect monies and operate cash till.
  • Cleaning of kitchen equipment, worktops, tables and floors.
  • Report faults to Line Manager so they can be put right quickly, avoiding downtime and potential loss of stock.
  • Prepare Buffets and refreshments for on‑site meetings.
  • Comply with company health and safety standards at all times and ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • Comply with food hygiene standards at all times.
  • Comply with all COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
