We are currently looking for a talented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Llanidloes to assist the Canteen Manager in undertaking all tasks within the canteen to ensure a high-quality service to all staff across the site.
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday 06:00am – 14:30pm
Key Responsibilities:- Deputise for the Manager in their absence.
- Accept responsibility and be accountable for day-to-day activities.
- Ordering of stock including raising/receipting PO's on SAP (covering Manager holidays/absence).
- Continuously review menus.
- Preparing and cooking of food.
- Assist onsite events such as summer BBQ and staff Christmas dinner.
- Participate in on-site engagement activities i.e. Free Breakfast Fridays / charity fundraising.
- Assist stock taking and product rotation.
- Serving of food and beverages.
- Collect monies and operate cash till.
- Cleaning of kitchen equipment, worktops, tables and floors.
- Report faults to Line Manager so they can be put right quickly to avoid downtime and potential loss of stock.
- Prepare Buffets / refreshments for on-site meetings.
- Comply with company health and safety standards at all times and ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy.
- Comply with food hygiene standards at all times.
- Comply with all COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
