We are currently recruiting for Machine Minder to join our team at King's Lynn site!
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 22:00pm to 6:00am.
You will be working in a chilled food manufacturing environment and will be responsible for ensuring your production area operates correctly, safely, and efficiently at all times. You will play a key role in maintaining production performance, quality standards, food safety requirements, and ensuring machinery is operating effectively to meet daily production targets.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Be
- Ensure your area is kept clean, tidy, and maintained to GMP standards at all times.
- Ensure all safety standards are followed and raise any safety concerns immediately.
- Complete all quality checks and ensure documentation is completed accurately and forwarded in a timely manner.
- Monitor and control Critical Control Points (CCPs) effectively.
- Set machines to the correct settings for each product and make adjustments where required.
- Operate machinery in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain equipment with care.
- Monitor machine performance to ensure consistent speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Report machine breakdowns lasting longer than 15 minutes to the Engineering Department.
- Check the operation of safety guards and devices before and during production.
- Work closely with the production team to achieve daily targets and departmental objectives.
- Comply with all food handling, hygiene, and food safety requirements.

- Previous experience working within a food manufacturing or production environment.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- A proactive, practical, and methodical approach to work.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- A sound understanding of health, safety, environmental, and technical standards.
- A willingness to learn new skills and undertake further training.
