We currently have opportunities for Key Operatives to join our team at the King’s Lynn site!
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday 06:00am to 14:00pm / 14:00pm to 22:00pm rotating weekly.
You will be working in a chilled food production environment. In this role, you will take responsibility for ensuring your area is operating both correctly and efficiently, maintaining GMP standards and ensuring all products meet the required quality and food safety standards. You will play a key role in driving performance, supporting your team, and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Be:
- Safety
- Ensure your area is kept clean and tidy, with floors always dry and GMP standards consistently met.
- Raise all safety concerns and positive observations using STAR cards (minimum of 1 per week).
- Promote and implement 5S standards on a daily basis.
- Attend all required safety and production training.
- Quality
- Ensure all products meet QAS and customer specifications, reporting and rectifying any deviations immediately.
- Complete all quality checks and ensure documentation is accurate and submitted on time.
- Be fully aware of CCPs and ensure they are effectively monitored and controlled.
- Report any missing or incorrect QAS boards to the Area Coordinator/Manager.
- Performance
- Set up and check machines are ready to run at the start of each shift.
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to maintain efficiency, accuracy and product quality.
- Accurately complete production records and elevate any issues promptly.
- Communicate daily plans clearly to your team and support them in achieving targets.
- Drive productivity while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
- Complete and maintain SIC boards, ensuring actions are followed up.
- Interpret data and KPIs to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Support training, coaching and mentoring of operatives to ensure full line coverage.
- Monitor KPIs such as yield, wastage, service levels and plan completion.
- Work closely with the Area Coordinator to maximise line performance and resolve issues.
- Report machinery faults and proactively support breakdown recovery.
- Monitor raw material usage and address any variances.
