We are looking for a talented individual to join our team at our Westerleigh site to fill a Team Leader vacancy. Assisting the departmental Supervisor with overseeing the daily running of the area the key responsibilities include:
- Loading/offloading goods/containers/pallets and any other equipment as required.
- Ensuring all goods, containers and pallets are stored in a tidy manner and are accessible at all times.
- Ensuring any equipment/goods issued to any customer/haulier is recorded in keeping with the management systems in place.
- Ensuring all documentation and records are completed in full.
- Ensuring safe operation of all equipment designated to the areas of responsibility and report any equipment that is not operating efficiently to the Management team.
- Ensuring that all areas of the site outside of the building are kept litter free at all times, including ensuring containers stationed at various points around the site are emptied daily or as frequently as required.
- Carrying out frequent audits of condition of areas of responsibility and report any damage or repair requirements immediately to the Management team.
- Ensure there are suitable staff levels, that holiday and sickness absence is managed and report any shortfalls to the Hygiene Manager.
Ideally candidates will:
- Be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Have an understanding of run rates, yields and good manufacturing practices.
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Have knowledge and experience of working with food production machinery.
- Have Health & Safety awareness.
- Have COSHH awareness.
Candidates will need a \βcan do\β approach and must be able to handle working in a fast paced environment.
Shift pattern are flexible or negotiable. There may be time where we require flexibility with working times which will be agreed with your line manager on a case-by-case basis.
