Responsibilities:

  • Undertake all aspects of factory cleaning and disinfect as requested by the Senior Supervisor.
  • Ensure required hygiene standards are matched or exceeded.
  • Operate and follow health and safety procedures, both in the use of chemicals and when dismantling/reassembling equipment.
  • Always seek to minimise waste from chemicals and cleaning equipment.

Skills and knowledge:

  • Good understanding of hygiene requirements in a food factory environment, ideally fresh meat.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A willingness to adopt a flexible approach to work, being willing to take on new tasks as required.
  • The ability to plan, organise and coordinate multiple tasks, achieving strict deadlines.

Desirable:

  • GCSE's (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • Food Safety Level 2
  • COSHH Training
