Pilgrim's Europe is looking for an experienced Engineering Coordinator to join our Hyde site and play a key role in supporting engineering compliance, contractor management, maintenance planning, and site safety.

This is a highly visible role where you'll work closely with Engineering, Operations, Facilities, and external contractors to ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with legal and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Permit to Work systems, including high-risk activities such as Hot Works, LOTO, and Working at Height.
  • Coordinate contractor onboarding, inductions, compliance, and performance.
  • Maintain CMMS systems, asset records, and planned preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Support engineering compliance, statutory inspections, and audit readiness.
  • Monitor Health & Safety standards, conduct workplace inspections, and support incident investigations.
  • Manage engineering documentation, RAMS, COSHH records, certifications, and compliance reporting.
  • Produce engineering KPI and compliance reports for site leadership.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in an Engineering Coordinator, Engineering Support, Facilities, Compliance, or Health & Safety role within manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of Permit to Work systems, contractor management, and engineering compliance.
  • Experience using CMMS or maintenance management systems.
  • Strong organisational, reporting, and administration skills.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to challenge unsafe behaviours constructively.

Desirable

  • NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar qualification.
  • Experience with SAP, Maximo, Agility, Pirana, or similar CMMS systems.
  • Knowledge of asbestos management, refrigeration, or ammonia compliance.
