Job Purpose
To produce excellent results by following standard work, converting work materials into finished goods, continually improving the work environment by helping the team achieve the required metrics for the area, with a key focus on colleague safety and product quality.
Job Details
- Manage assigned equipment and machinery to ensure production targets are achieved safely.
- Identify, rectify and report line production issues that may affect process performance, product quality or team member health & safety to facilitate further investigation and root cause analysis.
- Conduct visual inspection of materials for damage, defect or foreign material and verification of material batch numbers and shelf‑life.
- Verify actual availability of material (ingredients, packaging & consumables), tooling & equipment prior to production, process start‑up, changeovers or clean‑downs.
- Subject all WIP / finished product to standard operating checks to ensure they meet the required specification before releasing to the next process.
- Conduct periodic quality inspections, record results and take product samples before, during and after production as detailed in production specification documents and SOPs.
- Document results from QC inspections and assess the impact on product/process flow. Determine if corrective action is required and pursue implementation of corrective action to ensure continuation of production flow.
Skills & Knowledge
- Proficient written, numerical, and verbal skills.
- Fluency in English (oral and written).
- Experience working in Fast‑Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or any food manufacturing.
