Job Purpose:
We are currently recruiting a Quality Manager to lead the Quality team and ensure compliance with all internal and external standards. This role will drive the Technical Excellence agenda, develop and maintain the Quality Management System, lead audits, and support operational teams in issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

Champion a culture of food safety and quality across the site.
Drive the Technical Excellence agenda to reduce hazards, risks, and incidents.
Promote "Go for Zero" by encouraging positive behaviours and coaching teams on safety.
Ensure all team members are trained and resourced to perform tasks safely.
Track, report, and improve quality and food safety performance metrics.
Prepare for and lead customer and standard audits (BRC, OPEX), aiming for A+ or Green grades.
Ensure implementation of all internal and external technical standards.
Provide technical support for factory issues, ensuring resolution and root cause analysis.
Lead the Food Safety and Quality Culture programme and deliver the Food Defence Plan.
Act as a HACCP Team Member, ensuring full implementation of HACCP and prerequisite programmes.
Develop structured succession and training plans aligned with site and group technical objectives.
Communicate goals and targets through MySuccess and team forums.
Recognise achievements and address performance issues discreetly.
Improve cultural survey results by acting on team feedback.
Set, raise, and confirm standards across safety, quality, environment, and manufacturing.
Use data analysis and OPEX tools to identify and resolve root causes.
Support site projects and gap-up activities.
Ensure compliance with technical systems (SAP, INNOVA, Foods Connected, Point 74).
Deliver and report Technical KPIs monthly.
? Essential Criteria:
Proven experience in leading audits.
Strong working knowledge of BRC and industry regulations.
Background in Technical/Quality roles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Results-focused with the ability to influence others.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
High attention to detail.
Degree in Food Safety, Food Technology, or a related discipline.

Desirable

Criteria:
HACCP Level 4 certification.
Experience in TACCP and food authenticity.
Familiarity with 8-step problem-solving methodologies.
