  • Site Services Engineer
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance duties for the site.
  • Hands on approach providing technical support in the correction, prevention and elimination of technical problems for the site services, including boilers, plant, refrigeration, utility supplies, pipe work and effluent.

  • Purpose
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance duties for the site.

  • This is a hands services and utilities role with appropriate administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Operate within a team of site services engineers and operatives ensuring all daily tasks from checks to PPM’s are completed to ensure 100% equipment availability.
  • Ensure appropriate paperwork is completed and closed out in timely manner.
  • Coordinate contractors onsite with permits and supervision
  • Support Site Services Team Leader and cover when not on site
  • Participate constructively as a member of the department keeping everyone informed and proactively share your knowledge and expertise within the team.
  • Carry out training onsite where appropriate with new, old team members and apprentices.
  • Apply lean practices to 5S standards in work areas and plant rooms to ensure the productive capability of the plant is optimised and improved thus demonstrating commitment towards achieving factory targets, including prompt start up times.
  • Complete 5 why and RCA where appropriate
  • Work with site personnel and commissioning engineers to ensure required process skills training is performed for all new equipment.
  • Contribute to that department/ add value by developing requisite skills in this area in line with MP competency framework.
  • Operation and maintenance of steam boilers thermal oil heaters, refrigeration systems, fluid transfer systems, heating systems, hot and cold water systems and effluent treatment systems.
  • Working with Mechanical Drive Systems, Hydraulics, Pneumatics and electrics.
  • To monitor and control any negative environmental impact arising from the processes within area of responsibility; ensuring that all direct reports and colleagues are briefed and clear in regard to their responsibilities as outlined in the Pilgrims Europe Risk Management System Manual.
  • Creation of parts lists when required with quotes for submission for budget sign off
  • Any other reasonable management requests.

  • Confidence to recommend machine improvements and manage the process from ordering to installation.
