We're looking for an experienced Engineering Team Leader to lead and support a team of engineers in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role where you'll drive performance, minimise downtime, and ensure high standards across safety, quality, and engineering delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a team of engineers on shift
- Provide technical support to resolve and prevent breakdowns
- Ensure all PPMs, work orders and breakdowns are completed and closed out
- Work closely with production during start-up and daily operations
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, hygiene and food safety
- Ensure accurate system updates (Holistech) for all work completed
- Deliver shift reports and effective handovers
- Drive continuous improvement and reduce downtime and costs
- Maintain audit-ready engineering areas and strong housekeeping standards
Essential Criteria
- Recognised qualification in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering
- Strong multi-skilled engineering knowledge (electrical & mechanical)
- Experience leading or supporting a team in a manufacturing environment
- Good IT skills (Holistech or similar systems)
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering results
- Ability to work shifts and adapt to business needs
Desirable
- Experience within an FMCG or chilled food environment
- Previous experience in a shift leadership role
