Job Description Farm Manager (Broiler) \n ?? Location: Coleraine \n Are you an experienced poultry professional with a passion for animal welfare, team leadership, and farm performance? We are seeking a dedicated Broiler Farm Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of a modern broiler farm on the North Coast of Northern Ireland. \n As Broiler Farm Manager, you will oversee all aspects of broiler production, ensuring birds are reared to the highest standards and meet required specifications for quality, welfare, and performance. You will be responsible for both the operational and commercial success of the farm, while also developing and supporting your team. \n This role is a 5 from 7 shift pattern, with a sixth day as required by the needs of the business, covering 48 hours a week. \n A driving licence is essential, however a company van would be provided subject to licence checks \n Key Responsibilities \n \n Manage all day-to-day broiler farm operations and husbandry activities. \n Monitor and control ventilation, heating, feeding, watering, and lighting systems to maintain optimal growing conditions. \n Ensure the highest standards of bird welfare, biosecurity, and hygiene are maintained at all times. \n Maintain accurate farm records relating to bird performance, feed, suppliers, and stock management. \n Lead, motivate, and develop a small farm team through coaching, training, and regular performance reviews. \n Champion health and safety practices for all employees, visitors, and contractors on site. \n Take responsibility for farm security and estate management activities. \n Identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact through waste reduction, recycling, and sustainable farming practices. \n Ensure the farm consistently operates within agreed financial and physical budgets. \n Desirable Skills & Experience \n \n Previous broiler farm management experience. \n Experience working within the poultry or agricultural sector. \n Full UK Driving Licence. \n Willingness to undertake further professional development and qualifications, including NVQs. \n \n What You'll Gain \n \n In addition to our benefits package, the successful candidate will receive an accommodation allowance and would be eligible to join a performance related bonus scheme \n The opportunity to lead and shape a successful broiler farm operation. \n Ongoing training and professional development opportunities. \n Hands-on leadership experience within a progressive agricultural business. \n A role where you can make a genuine impact on farm performance, animal welfare, and operational success. \n \n If you're an experienced farm professional ready to take the next step in your career, we'd love to hear from you.
