As a key member of the HR team, the Site Training Lead will play a central role in shaping and delivering our training strategy across the site. Reporting directly to the HR Business Partner, this position is responsible for ensuring that all employees have the skills, knowledge, and support required to perform at their best. The role will champion a strong learning culture, manage training compliance, and drive continuous development initiatives that align with both regulatory requirements and business objectives.
Location: Enniskillen
Purpose: Ensuring the site is compliant with on & off the job training requirements and that new starters are effectively welcomed & inducted into the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome & induct new starters joining your site following the Pilgrim’s Europe experience, welcome & induction standards.
- Ensure that your site is fully compliant at all times against all mandatory training requirements detailed on the Pilgrim’s Europe matrices for mandatory legal, HSE and Technical training.
- Ensure that your site is fully compliant at all times against all requirements related to training in the customer Codes of Practice that apply to your site.
- Ensure that managers and team leaders take accountability for their own teams training requirements and are trained to utilise the LMS effectively to achieve this.
- Ensure site leadership team and key stakeholders are kept fully up to date on training completion levels, any risks and engage with them to drive improvements in training compliance.
- Ensure that SOPs and work instructions are assigned to the relevant role on the LMS and that changes are updated in the system.
- Ensure the Learning Management System accurately reflects all team members and that their training requirements are mapped to all matrices and standards required.
- Leadership of validator, to ensure that operational training is validated in accordance with the priority areas identified and agreed at site across H & S and Technical teams, ensuring that any concerns with competence are escalated to departmental managers.
- Support site in both internal and external audits to ensure staff are being trained and retrained effectively and within group policies and procedures, providing feedback and advice to management.
- To fully understand the central Learning & Development opportunities and how they can benefit site training needs.
- To ensure that all site team members attending central L & D workshops from your site, follow the expectations set for virtual and in person delivery, including appropriate behaviours.
- Collate and prepare reports as requested by the site and central on request.
- Attend and participate in Pilgrim’s Europe Training Networks to facilitate the sharing of best practice and learning and communication of changes in audit processes.
- Drive engagement across the site with on-line learning for the delivery of Food Safety and HACCP Level 2.
- To carry out any other duties that may be reasonably required.
