Engineering Project Manager
Location: Ruskington
We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join our site team, driving capital investment and continuous improvement across the factory. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of key projects, make a real impact, and help deliver operational excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the delivery of site capital plans to support performance and profitability targets
- Specify, cost and manage engineering projects from concept through to handover
- Deliver projects on time, within budget and with zero harm
- Manage suppliers and contractors across all project phases including tender, build, installation and commissioning
- Ensure all projects are delivered in line with governance and company procedures
- Drive continuous improvement across people, processes and systems
- Produce and maintain site layouts and support capital approvals through internal systems (AFETS/SAP)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Technical, HSE, Hygiene and NPD
- Identify new technologies and innovations to improve production efficiency
- Develop strong business cases and payback justifications for investment
- Support wider engineering activities and non-capital projects where required
Essential
- Level 5 qualification in an Engineering discipline
- Proven experience managing capital projects in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of continuous food production processes and factory services
- Experience managing contractors, budgets and project delivery
- AutoCAD experience
- CDM knowledge and strong understanding of Health & Safety
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial awareness with budget management experience
- High level of IT literacy
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- FMCG or food manufacturing experience
- People management experience
- SMSTS qualification
