Multi-Skilled Engineer

Hours: 7am-3.30pm

We're looking for a talented Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our Engineering team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Carry out planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Diagnose faults and minimise downtime across production equipment.
- Support continuous improvement, root cause analysis and reliability initiatives.
- Deliver engineering projects that improve efficiency and performance.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to the highest standards.
- Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment availability and performance.
Essential
- Time-served Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship.
- NVQ Level 3, BTEC or equivalent engineering qualification.
- Strong maintenance and fault-finding experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Experience of safe systems of work, risk assessments and root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable
- HNC or equivalent qualification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Experience in food manufacturing.
- Knowledge of CMMS, TPM, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
- Condition-based monitoring experience.
- IOSH/NEBOSH, FLT or MEWP certification.
