Mechanical Engineer
Location: Dungannon
We’re looking for a proactive Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team and keep our production lines running at their best. You’ll work independently, solve complex mechanical issues, and support continuous improvement across a fast‑paced food manufacturing site.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver hands‑on welding, fabrication, and mechanical repairs
- Work with mechanical drive systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and complete key documentation
- Diagnose faults and re‑engineer equipment to improve performance
- Provide technical support and advice to production teams
Essential
- Time/skill‑served Mechanical Engineer with industrial experience
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a mechanical discipline
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving ability
- Experience in welding, fabrication, and mechanical drive systems
- Confident decision‑making and good reasoning skills
Desirable
- Food or poultry processing experience
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Strong communication, organisation, and initiative
