We are currently recruiting for a Despatch Team Leader to join our team at Pilgrim\’s Europe – Moy Park, Craigavon.

As a Despatch Team Leader, you will ensure the smooth, efficient, and cost-effective operation of the despatch department, maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene, safety, and service.

You will manage, develop, and motivate your team to deliver against key KPIs and play a key role in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Despatch Operatives and Clerks.
  • Ensure efficient stock rotation, accurate despatch, and timely deliveries.
  • Control departmental costs while meeting customer expectations.
  • Drive Health & Safety standards, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Deliver against agreed KPIs in quality, efficiency, labour, and service.
  • Develop and coach team members, conducting appraisals and training.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve performance and reduce waste.
  • Promote an inclusive, safe, and environmentally responsible workplace.

What We\’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • Experience in a fast-moving chilled goods warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work to performance targets.
  • Computer literate.

Desirable:

  • Experience in continuous improvement projects.
  • Team leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Proven ability to deliver measurable improvements.
  • Coaching and performance management skills.
