Food Safety & Quality Manager-Systems
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Group Food Safety & Quality Manager-Systems to support the maintenance, development and continuous improvement of our Group Food Safety & Quality Management System.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of our Technical function, ensuring customer Codes of Practice, certification standards and legislative requirements are accurately integrated and maintained across the business.
You'll work with a wide range of stakeholders, gain exposure to multiple retailers and product categories, and play a key role in driving consistency, compliance, and best practice throughout Pilgrim's Europe.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Maintaining and developing the Group Food Safety & Quality Management System (FSQMS).
- Reviewing and integrating customer Codes of Practice, certification standards, and legislative updates.
- Managing technical document control and review schedules.
- Developing and maintaining technical policies, standards, procedures, and supporting documentation.
- Collaborating with site teams and subject matter experts to improve and implement FSQMS documentation.
- Supporting the delivery and reporting of technical KPIs.
- Maintaining and developing the Pilgrim's Europe Technical Share Point platform.
- Supporting central compliance audits, technical pillar assessments, and governance activities.
- Building strong relationships across sites and functions to drive continuous improvement.
Essential
- Experience within the food manufacturing industry.
- Previous experience in a similar technical, quality, or compliance role.
- Experience managing or coordinating a Quality Management System.
- Knowledge of BRCGS Standards, HACCP principles, and retailer Codes of Practice.
- Experience writing policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Ability to travel to Pilgrim's Europe sites as required.
- Food-related qualification or a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
Desirable
- Degree-level qualification in a food-related discipline.
- Food Safety Level 3 qualification.
- HACCP Level 4 certification.
- Experience working with auditors and customers.
- Auditor experience within quality management systems.
- Experience working across multiple food categories.
- Experience using Share Point and other electronic document management systems.
