The Vacancy We are seeking an experienced Hygiene Area Controllers to join our team in Pilgrim's Europe - at Craigavon site.
This role is key to ensuring hygiene standards, food safety compliance, and operational performance across the site.
You will be responsible for leading, motivating, and developing a hygiene team to maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient working environment.
This is a leadership role, performed mainly in a chilled factory area and involving extended periods of standing, working with chemicals, machinery, and cleaning equipment.

Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and health & safety standards.
Oversee cleaning schedules and production machinery hygiene.
Promote a positive work culture and staff engagement.
Complete and review hygiene paperwork and compliance documentation.
Participate in audits (EHO, BRC, PIU, HACCP).
Liaise with managers, other departments, and external auditors.
Drive continuous improvement and efficiency within the team.
Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For Experience in hygiene management in a fast-moving food manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of hygiene cleaning standards and legislative requirements.
Experience in managing and leading a team.
Confident in completing compliance paperwork and meeting audit standards.
