Are you a proven leader in manufacturing with a passion for driving performance, quality, and safety? Pilgrim's Europe is looking for a Production Shift Manager to join our Operations team in Craigavon, helping us deliver excellence in every shift.

Contract - Full Time/Permanent

Working Hours - Monday to Friday - 4pm - 12am

The Role

As a Production Shift Manager, you'll lead your shift to achieve operational targets in safety, quality, service, and efficiency. You'll be responsible for delivering KPIs, optimising processes, and developing people while ensuring our high technical and quality standards are met. You will also provide relief cover for the Operations Manager and Operations Team Leads when required.

What You'll Do

  • Lead your shift to achieve production KPIs on yield, labour utilisation, efficiency, and service levels.
  • Drive a culture of health & safety, food safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Manage and develop Operations Team Leads and production teams, ensuring training and skills matrices are up to date.
  • Conduct shift handovers, analyse performance variances, and implement improvement actions.
  • Support environmental and sustainability goals through energy and waste reduction initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Proven management & leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong people management skills, including coaching, performance reviews, and team development.
  • Ability to work to technical and quality standards.
  • Experience delivering operational improvements.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills.
  • GCSE (or equivalent) Maths & English grade C or above.

Desirable:

  • FMCG food manufacturing experience.
  • HACCP and/or H&S qualifications.
  • Proven track record of delivering change and continuous improvement.
  • Degree or leadership qualification.
