About the Role
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented NPI Technologist on a 6 month FTC to support the successful launch of new and existing products across our site. Working closely with the NPI Manager and cross-functional teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring products move seamlessly from concept through trials to full-scale production. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about food manufacturing, innovation, and delivering high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of right-first-time product launches in line with site and customer expectations
- Coordinate and support product trials, pre-production and first production runs
- Collaborate with internal teams including NPD, Commercial, Engineering, Quality, and Production to meet critical paths
- Ensure all technical validation, documentation, and compliance requirements are completed (HACCP, shelf life, nutritional data, etc.)
- Assist in managing project timelines and workload within the NPI team
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including yield, efficiency, and cost-saving opportunities
- Support pre-launch meetings and ensure all product documentation is accurate and complete
- Maintain and develop technical and legislative knowledge within food manufacturing
- Assist in the creation and management of quality documentation, pack sheets, and product specifications
- Support delivery of KPIs and business performance targets
About You
- A strong communicator with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Confident working cross-functionally and building relationships at all levels
- Knowledge of food safety, legislation, and labelling requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience within food manufacturing or product development (essential)
- Relevant food-related qualifications (desirable)
