The purpose of the role is to ensure that all products meet integrity and specification requirements.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that one‑page specs for products are on the line prior to start‑up
- Responsible for changing the threshold on metal detectors
- Responsible for conducting fat tests for the Mince line only
- Conduct various pre‑ and post‑production checks, including gas, average weight, metal detector, finish product, pre‑dispatch and dispatch
- Perform daily calibration checks of probes
- Take lab samples and conduct meat content analysis
- Check labels for accuracy against specification and product, including conducting double checks
- Conduct retail pack tare checks on catch weights
- Verify scale T2 chart (check scale is running average weight)
- Complete random checks on lines to ensure no old scan labels remain
- Operate machine mind, including labellers and Sealpac
