Responsibilities
- Setting up and maintaining all line machinery & computer equipment at the beginning of the shift and throughout.
- Ensuring machinery is adjusted to the required settings for each specific job on the plan.
- Keeping areas stocked with consumables.
- Endeavouring to keep waste levels to an absolute minimum and continuously working to reduce these levels.
- Overseeing department activity by ensuring all aspects of the area run at the correct pace.
- Cleaning and maintaining machinery and work areas to a high standard at all times.
- Attending daily meetings when required or in the absence of the Line Leader.
- Ensuring all equipment is operated correctly and efficiently while carrying out appropriate frontline maintenance to maintain and improve equipment performance and maximize product output while maintaining product quality.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as Machine Minder or similar role within a Food Manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Proactive self‑starter with strong interpersonal, prioritisation and communication skills.
- Demonstrable experience of Health, Safety and Environmental issues.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Good mechanical background.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Work schedule: 5 out of 6 days, 7:00am to 15:30pm.
