About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Engineer to join our Engineering team in Linton. This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in ensuring our operations run smoothly, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. You will be responsible for maintaining equipment, responding to breakdowns, and identifying opportunities to continuously improve performance across the site.
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise equipment reliability
- Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns and faults
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues
- Supporting and maintaining site services, including boilers, water systems, cooling, and fabrication equipment
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Recording all maintenance work accurately using a computerised maintenance system (CMMS)
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to support smooth site operations
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in a similar engineering/maintenance role
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good working knowledge of: Pneumatics, Hydraulics, PLC systems
- Strong mechanical skills with electrical understanding
- Confident using computer systems and maintenance software
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
Qualifications
Recognised Electrical and/or Mechanical qualification (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
