We're looking for a Butchery Supervisor to join our Spalding site, leading a high-performing team and driving results across production. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Supervisor or someone ready to step up into their first leadership role within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You'll play a key role in delivering production targets, yields, quality, and safety standards, while developing and supporting your team to perform at their best.
Location: Spalding
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 06:30 am - 16:00 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate and manage operatives and Team Leaders within the butchery department
- Drive performance against KPIs including yield, efficiency, quality, and service levels
- Ensure all processes meet food safety, hygiene, and H&S standards
- Monitor performance, resolve issues quickly, and reduce downtime and waste
- Support training, coaching, and development of team members
- Ensure accurate production and compliance documentation
- Manage labour effectively to meet operational needs
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Deputise for the Butchery Manager when required
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in butchery, meat processing, or food manufacturing
- Ability to debone leg and shoulder, and understanding of carcass structure
- Previous supervisory/team leader experience or a strong operative ready to step up into a leadership role
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and GMP
- Experience working with KPIs and production targets
- Strong communication and people skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Confident using IT systems (e.g. Excel, SAP or similar)
