We're looking for a Butchery Supervisor to join our Spalding site, leading a high-performing team and driving results across production. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Supervisor or someone ready to step up into their first leadership role within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You'll play a key role in delivering production targets, yields, quality, and safety standards, while developing and supporting your team to perform at their best.

Location: Spalding

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 06:30 am - 16:00 pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate and manage operatives and Team Leaders within the butchery department
  • Drive performance against KPIs including yield, efficiency, quality, and service levels
  • Ensure all processes meet food safety, hygiene, and H&S standards
  • Monitor performance, resolve issues quickly, and reduce downtime and waste
  • Support training, coaching, and development of team members
  • Ensure accurate production and compliance documentation
  • Manage labour effectively to meet operational needs
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Deputise for the Butchery Manager when required

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in butchery, meat processing, or food manufacturing
  • Ability to debone leg and shoulder, and understanding of carcass structure
  • Previous supervisory/team leader experience or a strong operative ready to step up into a leadership role
  • Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and GMP
  • Experience working with KPIs and production targets
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Confident using IT systems (e.g. Excel, SAP or similar)
