We are looking for a Stock Controller to join our Production team in Pilgrim's Europe - at Ballymena. To carry out perpetual inventory checks on stocks. To investigate root causes for cycle count discrepancies and stock adjustments.

Working hours: 5/2 working pattern

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily perpetual inventory audits to verify physical and Protean/Emydex/SAP book stock holding.
  • Reporting available stock on a daily basis.
  • Review daily cycle count reports and stock adjustment reports on Protean/Emydex/SAP and review with Shift Manager and Supervisor.
  • Maintaining accurate stocks, highlighting any aged material.
  • Maintaining clear communication with management, both verbally and written (production, planning & despatch).
  • Ensure accurate stock rotation - monitoring, maintaining and reviewing.
  • Investigate reasons for stock adjustments and cycle count amendments, categorise, establish monetary value and determine corrective action.
  • Investigate daily claims from customers for shortages or over deliveries to determine root causes.
  • Ensure all surplus stock is highlighted and moved to shop aisle, palletised for offer to trade.
  • Any other duties deemed reasonable by management.

Environment: Optimise energy usage, looking at opportunities for energy reduction and carbon footprint reduction. To work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within their area and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc.

Health & Safety responsibilities:

  • You have a general duty of care for all employees, visitors, the environment and contractors working in your departments.
  • Understand the Moy Park Health and Safety Policy, Company Safety Rules and Statutory requirements applying to all operations within your control.
  • Ensure that the arrangements made by the Company to secure the Health and Safety of employees are implemented.
  • Set an example in safe behaviour.
  • Where applicable, ensure that all plant, machinery and equipment is safe to use and that all dangerous parts of machinery are guarded and that the guards provided are correctly fitted, adjusted and maintained, whilst the machinery is in motion or use.
  • Ensure that overalls, protective clothing and equipment provided is adequate for the purpose intended and is used by all persons as appropriate.
  • Ensure that good housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained throughout your areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure full honest co-operation with the appointed Safety Representatives where appointed, in matters relating to Health and Safety.
  • Ensure full co-operation with HR Manager and appointed claims investigator in matters relating to employer's liability claims.

Essential:

  • Good level of education.
  • Ability to communicate, read and write English.
  • Very computer literate, particularly in Microsoft packages.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to work as part of a larger team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge & experience of Protean/Emydex ERP system.
  • Knowledge & experience of stock rotation and management.
