HGV Lorry Driver (Permanent)
Location: Ballymena
Are you an experienced HGV Lorry Driver seeking an exciting opportunity? The job involves transporting raw materials between sites and delivering them safely to various locations. The Lorry Driver works as part of a team and independently, reporting directly to the Transport Manager.
Working Hours:
- Sunday 22:00-06:00
- Monday 22:00-06:00
- Tuesday 22:00-06:00
- Wednesday 22:00-06:00
- Thursday 22:00-06:00
Essential Requirements:
- Must be able to read, write, speak and listen in English
- Must be able to think clearly e.g. good reasoning ability
- Must have good communication skills
- Must have an awareness of hygiene and quality issues
- Must have a positive attitude to work and others
- Must have a HGV class 1 licence
Desirable Skills:
- Lorry driving experience
- Electric Pallet Truck/Forklift/Reach Truck licence
- Experience transporting food/food products
- Evidence of ability to complete and understand paperwork
- Knowledge of the importance of temperature control
- Good communication skills
- Experience and knowledge of hygiene, cleanliness and simple maintenance
- Digital Tachograph experience
- The ability to work on own initiative
- Good interpersonal skills
