We are seeking an experienced Production Stream Manager, with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement, to join our leadership team in Attleborough.
An effective people manager, you will be a strong leader and role model, exemplifying a best practice approach across all areas such as performance management, objective setting, coaching and mentoring.
Location: Attleborough
Salary: Competitive
Working Hours: 4 on 4 off - 6 am to 6 pm - with flexibility to cover night shift when required
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Production team to ensure that all requisite production, safety, quality, profitability and continuous improvement targets and standards are met.
- Use the principles of OPEX to develop a team who can deliver the goals of the business while meeting customer expectations.
- Build a culture of behaviour-based safety with team members and reduce hazards, risks, and incidents by observing the behaviour of the team and determining what follows when this behaviour occurs.
- Ensure that all team members have the appropriate training to do their required task in a safe manner.
- Create a strategic plan using the master schedule tool to align with the business goals.
- Build a high performing team.
- Ensure the skill levels in the production stream are maintained as per the site training standard.
- Adopt appropriate OPEX tools and upskill the team creating a culture of learning.
- Set standards, raise standards, and confirm standard work across safety, quality, environmental, manufacture and asset management.
- Maintain ATP in the production stream.
- Address escalations promptly.
- Manage projects in accordance with the site goals and gap up activity timelines.
You Will Need:
- To be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and with the ability to effectively liaise with a wide variety of stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in a FMCG Industry and understanding of safety, quality, environmental and asset management systems.
- Experience in Manufacture / Continuous Improvement / OPEX.
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Natural coaching ability.
- Intermediate Food Safety.
- Level 3 HACCP and IOSH managing Safety or equivalent experience level.
