The Opportunity
We\βre looking for a flexible, detail-oriented Assistant Tax Accountant to join our Financial Services team. This is a diverse and rewarding role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys problem-solving.
You\βll work closely with the Direct Tax Lead, supporting tax declarations, financial reporting, and compliance across multiple business units. Your work will directly contribute to the accuracy and timeliness of financial and tax information shared with key stakeholders, including senior managers and our US parent company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing periodic tax and financial reports for HMRC/Revenue.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles.
- Deliver accurate balance sheet reconciliations and tax postings.
- Ensure consistency in accounting policies and SOX controls across European entities.
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects, offering financial and tax expertise.
- Contribute to SAO administration, Country-by-Country Reporting, and Pillar 2 analysis.
- Assist with VAT and Intrastat reconciliations.
What We\βre Looking For
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CTA qualified or part-qualified (or qualified by experience).
- Minimum 2 years\β experience in a similar role.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS.
- Experience preparing/reviewing corporation tax computations.
- Excellent ERP and IT skills, with a passion for systems improvement.
