We are seeking a reliable and skilled Building Maintenance Operative to join our team in Andover, SP11 9BB. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks to ensure building are safe, functional and well maintained.
Shift pattern: Tuesday - Saturday, 07.30am - 16.30pm
Location - Andover, SP11 9BB
Key Responsibilities
- At all times to ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner seeking guidance from colleagues as required
- Assist the engineers where required to drive the performance of the team . equipment / process to deliver the planned requirements for the day in the most efficient way
- Escalate any issues by communicating to the appropriate person - working closely with other departments
- Ensure all operations carried out inside the factory are In line with and adhere to the food safety principles. Company, H&S, HR and Hygiene policies and standards must also be always adhered to.
- Take responsibility of the following areas:
- Drains
- Fencing
- External wall panels
- Painting
- Drain pipes - guttering
- Plumbing
- Cable runs
- Wall repairs
- General fabrication
- Support and seek opportunities within any projects to reduce waste, maximize recycling and reduction of the carbon footprint of the site
Skills & Knowledge
- Previous experience of a similar role
- Ability to operate within a fast - paced environment
- Good communicator
- Good team player
- Able to demonstrate a good understanding and practical use of relevant Health, Safety, Environmental and Technical knowledge
- Can work unsupervised and make decisions when required, including good problem-solving skills
