What You'll Be Responsible For
- Lead Food Safety & Quality
- Champion a strong food safety and quality culture across the site.
- Reduce risks through the Technical Excellence agenda and “Go for Zero.”
- Ensure the team is trained, supported and equipped to work safely.
- Track and improve food safety & quality KPIs.
- Drive Technical Excellence
- Achieve strong audit outcomes (BRC/OPEX MS – A+ or Green).
- Lead customer and external audits.
- Embed internal and external technical standards across the site.
- Provide expert support in investigations and root cause analysis.
- Lead the Food Safety & Quality Culture programme.
- Deliver Food Defence requirements.
- Act as a HACCP team member.
- Develop & Lead the Quality Team
- Build robust succession and development plans.
- Communicate goals clearly through MySuccess and team forums.
- Recognise strong performance and manage issues professionally.
- Improve engagement and cultural survey scores.
- Champion Continuous Improvement
- Raise and confirm standards across quality, safety, environmental and manufacturing.
- Use data to highlight issues and guide decision-making.
- Apply OPEX tools to support operational improvements.
- Deliver Results for the Business
- Drive continuous improvement and strong audit performance.
- Support key site projects and gap-up activity.
- Ensure compliance with SAP, INNOVA, Foods Connected and Point 74.
- Deliver Technical KPIs and monthly reports on time.
Essential Criteria
- Experience leading audits
- Strong knowledge of BRC and industry regulations
- Experience in Technical or Quality within food manufacturing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence and drive results
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- IT proficiency (Microsoft Office)
- Degree in Food Safety, Food Technology, or related discipline
- HACCP Level 4
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with TACCP and Food Authenticity
- 8-Step Problem Solving experience
