We are looking for a motivated and experienced Stock Chargehand to join our team and ensure all raw material stock within all areas is available for the production team.
Location: Andover
Pay: Weekly Competitive pay rate
Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 7:00 – 16:00 – and every other Saturday 07:00 – 12:00
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, clean & tidy working environment for the team and other colleagues within the raw material storage areas
- Use of both company and generic IT systems as required to complete the daily workload
- Move stock to picking locations ready for production and ensure that stock rotation procedures are followed
- Work closely with the production team (primal and retail) in managing storage space and storage locations.
- Ensure that at all times stock is clearly identified and fully traceable
- To carry out other duties that may reasonably be requested of you to ensure the efficient running of the business
- Support and seek opportunities within any projects to reduce waste, maximize recycling and reduction of the carbon footprint of the site
What You Need
- Able to drive an electric pallet truck
- Previous experience in a similar role is required
- Experience within the food industry is advantageous
- Working knowledge of Excel
- Ability to deal confidently with numbers
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to think on their feet and solve problems
- Excellent organisational skills including the ability to multitask
- Ability to work in an organised and methodical way
