We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Services Engineer with electrical and mechanical qualifications to join our team at the Ruskington site. As a Site Services Engineer, you will have experience of breakdown and preventative maintenance, working with the Engineering Team Leaders and the wider engineering team ensuring production targets are met by providing the appropriate technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical feedback and analysis on daily issues as they arise.
- Carry out high level static and dynamic maintenance on all equipment.
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards at all times.
- Assist Engineering Manager to ensure site is fully compliant with Safety, Health and Environmental legislation.
- Coordinate activities in cases of emergencies such as Fire Alarms or Chemical spillages.
- Ensure that targets are met using the appropriate technical support in the correction, prevention and elimination of problems.
To Be Successful You Will Need
- Technical Hands-On Engineering Experience, preferably through recognised time-served apprenticeship within food manufacturing.
- Technical qualifications and competence in mechanical/electrical.
- BTEC Engineering certificate/equivalent qualification.
- Highly self-motivated.
- Enthusiasm for achieving exceptional results.
- Ability to work effectively both on own initiative and as part of a wider team.
- Experience working on steam boilers, compressors and associated pipe work.
- Understanding of continuous improvement would be an advantage, enabling the successful candidate to work with the engineering team to drive the change from a “reactive culture” to a “proactive culture”.
